Pasco County Amaryllis Seminar

pasco-Amaryllis-PlantThe bright red Amaryllis flower is a well-known holiday bloom. And if you’d like to have some glorious Amaryllis flowers for your yard this season you might want to attend the Pasco County Cooperative Extension’s December 7th seminar from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

The seminar will cover everything you need to know about making amaryllis landscape beds. They’ll also teach you how to extend bloom periods.

You can pre-register for the seminar online. The seminar is free! It will take place at the Pasco County Extension Office in Clayton Hall at 36702 State Road 52, Dade City. You can call 52-518-0156; 813-996-2411 or 727-847-2411 to ask any questions that you might have about this or any other county extension class.

While you’re growing your amaryllis you might consider starting a rainwater harvestin g plan. It’s relatively easy to turn your gutters into a basic rainwater collection system.

Doing so eases the burden on Florida’s water supplies. It also allows you to cut your water bill and fight pollution.

Of course, to do so you will need to have good, clean gutters that are in good repair. If you’re in the Pasco County area or elsewhere in the Tampa Bay area, call us.
